According to CNN today, the total recall of eggs is 380,000,000! Thats more than 30 million dozen eggs! The recalled eggs are suspected of harboring salmonella which is a source of food poisoning illnesses. This recall shows the serious defects in the industrial food production in the US that can produce massive scale problems when something goes wrong. My suspicious side makes me wonder if the recall is 'real' or not. Suppose this is just a clever way of disguising the actual onset of famine conditions in America. This may be an easier way to explain food shortages and higher food prices, thus making higher prices necessary 'for our own good'. Once again the government would be seen as 'helping us out'.
228M eggs recalled following salmonella outbreak
The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said eggs from Wright County Egg in Galt, Iowa, were linked to several illnesses in Colorado, California and Minnesota. The CDC said about 200 cases of the strain of salmonella linked to the eggs were reported weekly during June and July, four times the normal number of such occurrences.
State health officials say tainted eggs have sickened at least 266 Californians and seven in Minnesota.
The eggs were distributed around the country and packaged under the names Lucerne, Albertson, Mountain Dairy, Ralph's, Boomsma's, Sunshine, Hillandale, Trafficanda, Farm Fresh, Shoreland, Lund, Dutch Farms and Kemp.
The Food and Drug Administration is investigating.
In a statement, company officials said the FDA is "on-site to review records and inspect our barns." The officials said they began the recall Aug. 13.
The most common symptoms of salmonella are diarrhea, abdominal cramps and fever within eight hours to 72 hours of eating a contaminated product. It can be life-threatening, especially to those with weakened immune systems.

Yep, getting the folks ready for S510 bill, no more growing your own food, and selling it to other folks, good reason to shut it all down from the big to the small and handing it over to the new Food Czar. They really must stay up late at night thinking of these things. 280million eggs divided by 266 folks,what are the odds, and how do they get every single solitary egg back? What about the ones that are cooked up in over the counter foods, restaurants, chain stores, etc. Seems futile to me. Just tell folks don't eat eggs, or anything made with eggs for at least a hundred years. I mean, these scares are scarier then the actual thing everyone is supposed to be scared about. Let's look at how this company managed to even produce 280million eggs, from what chickens, using what means, in what place on this planet? Could that be more of the real problem, mass production???
