Oil Spill Workers Sickened -Top Kill Fails


Apparently the toxic oil and chemical dispersant is getting to the workers - like this oil spill diver- who are at the scene of the Great Under Sea Oil Volcano. Most on the scene feel ill and have headaches. Some are now being taken to hospital for numerous complaints related to the vapors, fumes and toxic effects of what they are dealing with. If the toxic oily rain that fell near Tampa is any indication, millions of us may fall ill or dead as a result of this environmental catastrophe that is totally out of control. Don't forget - hurricane season has just gotten started.

and drop it over the land mass of America.
BP, who has consistently put a rosy glow on events in the Gulf, now admits that the Top Kill maneuver has failed and it will be 10 weeks - late August- before their next best attempt to control the oil spill can be put into effect.
Of course, this most optimistic rosy scenario could be wrong. Every other thing that BP has had to say has proven itself to be wrong. Why should we believe them now?
Is it time for the nuclear option? The nuclear option is the detonation of a nuclear warhead to seal the leak. It's been done before. What's worse- a nuclear bomb explosion or 10 more weeks of gushing oil? Well the Commander in Chief says he's taken over and he's got the nukes, not BP.
"Top Kill" Fails, BP Workers Sickened (NaturalNews) BP officials have announced today that the "top kill" effort to stop the Gulf oil leak has failed. Unanticipated problems doomed the project, which involved trying to pump tens of thousands of gallons of mud, shredded rubber tires and other "junk" into the hole to try to halt the outflow of oil. At 6pm Saturday evening, BP officials announced the "top kill" effort had failed and now they were moving on to another plan (more below). I am on site at the Gulf Coast right now, and while I haven't reached the areas where oil is washing up on the beaches, I'm learning some interesting information nonetheless. In particular, finding a hotel room anywhere near New Orleans has become virtually impossible, as BP has rented out virtually every available hotel room from St. Charles, Louisiana all the way to Pensacola, Florida. (I am currently staying in a fleabag hotel that miraculously has internet access...) But it raises the question: Where are all these people? I haven't seen a single BP person anywhere, and I was out on some beaches today filming editorial segments for NaturalNews. I did see some small watercraft laying out protective barriers, but I didn't see any BP people anywhere. I'll keep you posted on what we find tomorrow as we approach the beaches to the East of New Orleans.

Expect more oil for the next 10 weeks

Now that the top kill effort has failed, it means oil will keep spewing into the Gulf of Mexico until at least August. That's when two "pressure release" wells are expected to be completed. The purpose of these two wells is to siphon off the oil from underneath the ocean bed, thereby releasing the pressure that's currently pushing crude oil out of the existing hole under the doomed Deepwater Horizon rig. This "plan C" effort remains extremely risky, of course. There's no guarantee it will work at all. And if it fails, this "volcano of oil" could continue to pollute the Earth's oceans for years. This could, in fact, be the global killer event I warned about in an earlier story about this BP oil spill. (http://www.naturalnews.com/028805_G...) We could be looking at a global-scale environmental catastrophe that destroys virtually all marine life in the Gulf of Mexico and takes a century to fully recover. It's really that bad. If they can't stop this volcano of oil in the next week, we could be looking at the single most destructive environmental catastrophe ever to strike our planet since the asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs.

Get ready for more chemicals

In the mean time, now that the top kill effort has failed, BP has announced it is resuming the spraying of chemical dispersants into the massive oil plumes that remain deep under the surface of the Gulf of Mexico water. This means more chemicals that will kill more forms of marine life throughout the Gulf. But it's not just aquatic life that's being threatened by these chemicals: BP workers are increasingly being sent to the hospital complaining of symptoms like vomiting, dizziness, difficult breathing and others. The obvious cause of such symptoms is the huge amount of crude oil bubbling up to the surface (some of which evaporates into the air) along with the massive injection of chemical dispersants into the waters (some of which also evaporates). CNN is reporting that BP claims it is monitoring air quality, but so far BP has not gone public with any air quality test results. None of the cleanup workers have been outfitted with chemical masks that might protect them from the volatile chemicals now present in the Gulf waters. Yet CNN is reporting that the warning label on the chemical product made by NALCO states: "Avoid breathing vapor." The EPA, meanwhile, remains silent on this whole issue. Remember: It is the EPA that ordered BP to stop using its selected brand of chemical dispersant, but BP utterly ignored the EPA and continues to dump that very same chemical into the Gulf of Mexico right now.

A chemical attack on America

What we are watching here, folks, is very nearly a chemical attack on America by BP and the oil industry. It's hard to say what's worse: The oil or the chemical dispersants. In fact, no one knows the answer to that question, and it can't even be studied by scientists because the disaster keeps growing by the day. This is one environmental catastrophe that just keeps getting worse, and the cost to the marine ecosystem is incalculable. And that's not to even mention the economic cost to the region and all the people who depend on life in the Gulf of Mexico for their own livelihoods. Their lives are now being destroyed by this oil drilling catastrophe. If there's one lesson that comes from all this, it is a reminder of the immense value Mother Nature provides us each and every day at no charge. The VALUE of a healthy ocean is incalculable. And the COST of killing it may be more than what human civilization can bear. I suppose this resolves the whole question of what's more important: The environment or the economy? As we're rudely discovering today, the economy cannot exist without protecting the environment first.

Why Turmeric is in the Bean Soup

When I make my bean soup, I load it up with lots of turmeric. I cook like my grandmother used to... I don't measure anything. I just put 'the right amount' of everything in according to how I feel or how it feels...
So I soak the navy beans for at least 24 hours, until they produce bubbles of gas and the water becomes cloudy and there is a strong organic scent... This means the beans are alive and metabolically active.
Next I boil them at high temperature until they are soft and easily mashed in a wooden spoon. This may take 2 hours or more depending on the quality of the bean. I skim off the protein foam that comes up with a spoon.
Once the beans are soft and well cooked, then I add celtic sea salt, turmeric, paprika, chili powder, ghee (clarified butter), chopped onion, minced garlic, green pepper and celery. I may also add cilantro, parsley and cayenne. I add enough turmeric to get a very deep yellow color. I lower the heat to low and simmer for about 20 to 30 minutes more.
The soup is now fully cooked. At this point I add olive oil and a jar of tomato sauce and turn off heat. Caution: tomato sauce will easily stick to bottom of the pot and burn. I allow the soup to sit with occasional stirring for 20 minutes more before serving. You can eat it 'whole bean' or blended. You may add fresh chopped onion, tomato, cheese, hot chili peppers, etc - whatever you like.

Here is a short piece that throws light on the very first revelation of the Qur'an: " READ!" It shows the relationship between reading and income. The more one reads, the more one earns! The highest earners read the most books. Is that why Master Fard Muhammad, Who promised us Money, Good Homes and Friendship in all walks of life, set up a reading class in the mosque back in the thirties? Is it because an illiterate person can not become a good earner? Is that why the only portrait we have of Him is of Him reading a book? Is that why He said, "Everything you need to know is written down in a book"?
Something to think about, especially with declining literacy rates among our people. In many cases, even those who technically can read, don't read or don't read well.
Maybe literacy is the first thing we need to check on before we try to get started with other things.

How to Recognize Early Signs of a Stroke

Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify.. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke. Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:

S *Ask the individual to SMILE.
T *Ask the person to TALK and SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently) (i.e. It is sunny out today.)
R *Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.

If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call emergency number immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.

**New Sign of a Stroke -------- Stick out Your Tongue NOTE: Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to 'stick' out his tongue.. If the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side or the other, that is also an indication of a stroke. A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this e-mail sends it to 10 people; you can bet that at least one life will be saved.

Weaponized Fungus Spreading in the North West



People are wondering what happened to Joseph Moshe the Israeli Mossad agent/micro-biologist who blew the whistle on the detonation of the weaponized Swine Flu in Ukraine last year. His prediction came true and a very severe hemorrhagic variety of the Swine Flu there is now all over the world killing a high percentage of it victims.


Now Moshe himself is implicated in the development of another killer disease - cryptococcus gatti fungus- that is sweeping through the North West United States with about a 25% mortality rate. This is an air-borne pathogen that seems to be a weaponized version of a natural fungus that has been under study since the 1950's. Fort Dettrick has been involved and they brought us HIV and weaponized Anthrax. Now it seems that Dr Joseph Moshe may have had key involvement in the Cryptococcus gatti epidemic that has the potential to be devastating.

Missing Israeli Scientist Linked to Disease Outbreak in US

Media outlets across the Northwest United States began reporting on April 24 that a strange, previously unknown strain of virulent airborne fungi that has already killed at least six people in Oregon, Washington and Idaho is spreading throughout the region. The fungus, according to expert microbiologists, who have expressed alarm about the emergence of the strain, is a new genotype of Cryptococcus gatti fungi. Cryptococcus gatti is normally found in tropical and subtropical locations in India, South America, Africa and Australia. Microbiologists in the United States are reporting that the strain found here, for reasons not yet fully understood, is far deadlier than any found overseas.Physicians in the Pacific Northwest are reporting that an undetermined number of people in the region are ill from the effects of the strange strain. Physicians also say that the virulent strain can infect domestic animals as well as humans, and symptoms do not appear until anywhere from two to four months after exposure. Symptoms in humans include a lingering cough, sharp chest pains, fever, night-sweats, weight-loss, headaches and shortness of breath. The strain can be treated successfully, if detected early enough, with oral doses of antifungal medication, but it cannot be prevented, and there is no preventative vaccine. Undiagnosed, the fungus works its way into the spinal fluid and central nervous system and causes fatal meningitis.The estimated mortality rate is about 25 percent of 21 cases analyzed. Several newspapers and media outlets in the US and overseas quote a researcher at Duke University's Department of Molecular Genetics and Microbiology, Edmond Byrnes, as stating: "This novel fungus is worrisome because it appears to be a threat to otherwise healthy people. Typically, we see this fungal disease associated with transplant recipients and HIV-infected patients, but that is not what we are seeing."Microbiologists and epidemiologists studying the strain say the mystery fungus came from an earlier fatal fungus that was first found on British Columbia's Vancouver Island in the fall of 2001, and perhaps as early as 1999. There the fungus infected and killed dogs, cats, horses, sheep, porpoises and at least 26 people. The disease spreads through spores carried by breezes and wind and when people and animals encounter infected ground where the fungus is present. A number of microbiologists say that the disease has "the potential to essentially travel anywhere the wind or people can carry it." Reads an alarming study authored in part by Duke University's Edmond Byrnes: "The continued expansion of C. gatti in the United States is ongoing, and the diversity of hosts increasing."Several researchers in California also note that the Cryptococcus gatti fungus has been researched for decades, extending back to the 1950's, at the US Army's biological warfare center, Fort Detrick, in Frederick, Maryland. One microbiologist at the University of California at Los Angeles recounted that the fungus was first brought to the attention of Fort Detrick researchers by British scientists experimenting with the bark of eucalyptus trees from Australia. Army biological warfare reports obtained through the Freedom of Information Act reveal that beginning around 1952 the Army mounted a huge research program involving numerous plant and fungi products, and that well over 300 long-term contracts and sub-contracts were let with over 35 US colleges and universities to carry out this multifaceted research. Examples of this early research in California included experiments and projects at Camp Cooke; Port Huemene; Harpers Lake; Oceanside, and extensive experimentation with wheat stem rust and "various spores" including "several from tropical locations" and cereal rust spores and dyed Lycopodium spores. Several Army reports reveal that private-sector corporations that participated or assisted in these projects were the American Institute of Crop Ecology; the American Type Culture Collection Inc.; University of California; Bioferm Inc. and the Kulijian Corporation.The same microbiologist, who declined to speak on the record and who recounted extensive fungus work at Fort Detrick, also stated that researchers at Israel's Institute for Biological Research, located in Ness-Ziona about 20 km from Tel Aviv, have worked with the Cryptococcus gatti fungus. They also report that mysterious Israeli-American scientist Joseph Moshe, 56 years old, may have conducted covert studies with the fungus while he was recently living in California. This report concerning Moshe is especially interesting because Moshe was briefly in the international spotlight in 2009 when he was the subject of a spectacular chase and arrest by the LA police department and SWAT team, assisted by the FBI, Secret Service, CIA, US Army and several other unidentified federal officials. That highly unusual arrest has never been fully explained to the media, and the whereabouts of Moshe has remained unknown since its occurrence. Compounding the mystery surrounding the Moshe case is that there is another scientist named Moshe Bar-Joseph who works in Israel and who looks remarkably like Joseph Moshe, except that he is about 20 years older.Why Moshe was pursued and apprehended by the police is a largely unanswered question. According to the Los Angeles media, which recorded the entire incident by helicopter and ground cameras, Moshe claimed to be "a former Mossad microbiologist" who had telephoned a police dispatch number before his pursuit and had made "threatening statements about the White House and the president." Reportedly, Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan confirmed this when he spoke with several Los Angeles reporters.On August 14, 2009, several Los Angeles police cruisers and an unmarked armored vehicle pursued Joseph Moshe as he drove his red VW automobile several miles through downtown Los Angeles before his car's engine was reportedly knocked out by an electromagnetic pulse. Moshe refused to exit his car when ordered several times by the police, and after the driver's window of his VW was smashed out by a robotic arm and several rounds of tear gas and pepper gas were fired into the vehicle, he still remained behind the wheel, refusing to move. At the time, police officers on the scene were stunned that Moshe was able to withstand three tear gas shells and hosing with pepper spray without moving. Later that day, a Los Angeles law enforcement official said: "I can't explain that; there's no way to explain that."After his apprehension, Moshe was taken to the Patton State Mental Hospital and then to the Twin Towers Correctional Facility in Los Angeles. Sometime about 60 days later, Moshe was quietly released and his current whereabouts are unknown. Since his arrest became public, reports about Moshe's activities in the US have spread like wildfire, especially across the Internet. Many of these reports are unconfirmed, but a few come from credible sources and have linked Moshe to the grossly underreported outbreak of flu in the Ukraine.Other reliable sources, including two former Fort Detrick biochemists, have also linked Moshe to a mysterious disease that is becoming alarmingly common in Vermont and other states, including California. The disease is known to have killed or incapacitated at least 10 to 20 rural dwellers and farmers. This disease is said to be Morgellons disease or "a rare, mutated form of Morgellons disease." Former Fort Detrick scientists, speaking off the record, say that the disease is one that was "experimented with intensely" in the late 1960's at several "test sites in New England." Morgellons causes patients to suffer horrible skin problems as well as fatigue, confusion and serious memory problems, as well as joint pain and the strange sensation that pins and needles are piercing the body or that something is crawling beneath one's flesh. Some researchers and physicians believe that Morgellons is actually a psychiatric condition called "delusional parasitosis." Other physicians, who are familiar with treating the disease, say it may be caused by "an airborne, unidentified spore" and that it was developed in the laboratory from an affliction that was first identified in the 1700's. Regardless of its origin, some researchers say that Morgellons is becoming "a very real medical problem in some parts of the country."

Caught in a vice of economic sanctions, political pressures and faltering production, Cuba is faced with no alternative but to find alternatives to its past dependency on imports of fossil fuels, fertilizers, pesticides, animal feed and the like. Agricultural imports have been cut by as much as 80%.
Consequently, the Cuban government has established programs designed for sound and effective soil management and have made earthworms one of the key agents intheir drive for agricultural sustainability. By using selected earthworm species, Cuban scientists have developed a full technological package for the production of humus from earthworms, a process known as vermicomposting or vermiculture, and generally recommend an application rate of 4 tons/ha of earthworm humus to most crops.Compost productionCuba's verimcomposting program started in 1986 with two small boxes of red worms, Eisenia foetida and Lumbricus rubellus.. Today there are 172 vermicompost centers that in 1992 produced 93,000 tons of worm humus. Several different institutions and companies are involved in vermiculture operations, but research is conducted primarily by the Institute of Soils and Fertilizers and the National Institute of Agricultural Sciences. The production of vermicompost requires a mixture of worm castings, organic material and bedding in various stages of decomposition. First, manure is composted for approximately 30 days aerobically, and then transferred to open vermicompost beds. At some sites like the Pinar del Rio vermiculture center, these beds are located in the shade of large mango trees which benefit from nutrients leached from the piles. The beds are approximately 1.5 meters wide and of varying length. The compost is mixed with soil and "seeded" with
earthworms. Most vermicomposting operations in Cuba use cow manure as the primary source of organic material. Other sources include pig and sheep manure,filter press cake from sugarcane, coffee pulp, plantains and municipal garbage.Vermicompost beds are sprinkled with water to maintain optimum moisture and temperature requirements. The worms feed on the freshly applied compost at the top of the beds and deposit their castings in the lower levels. Compost is continually applied until the beds reach a height of approximately 0.9 meters after about 90 days. The worms are concentrated in the top 10 cm of the pile and scraped off or separated from the vermicompost in a screening process. The humus is either dried and bagged or used on-site as a soil amendment and fertilizer.Beneficial CastingsThe humus produced in vermicomposting improves soil nutrient content and permeability, helps control diseases that attack plants and stimulates plant growth. Cuban researchers have found that nitrogen concentrations are higher invermicomposting than in static compost piles. For instance, four tons of vermicompost per hectare can replace forty tons of cow manure per hectare of tobacco, resulting in as much as a 36% improvement in yield. Earthworm castingscontain 1.5 - 2.2% Nitrogen, 1.8 - 2.2% Phosphorous, 1.0 - 1.5% potassium and 65-70% organic matter, lasting up to five years in the soil.Jorge Ramon Cuevas, the earthworm man of Cuba, states that scientists have experimented with several earthworm species for vermiculture, including E. foetida and L. rubellus and a Pheretima species brought from the Philippinesto begin the national initiative. Work now focuses on two species thought to bemost useful under Cuban conditions: Eisenia andrei, which can tolerate the humid, subtropical Cuban climate better than E. foetida , and Eudrilus eugeniae, the African Red Worm. E. eugeniae is less tolerant and prone to
escaping when conditions are not quite right as compared to E. andrei . However, it produces more protein than E. andrei and is useful as a supplemental animal feed.Other Uses for the EarthwormWorm populations under vermiculture can double in 60-90 days. Worms not used to seed new compost piles are dried and used as a supplemental protein for animals. Earthworms are useful as animal feed because they are high in protein and contain the amino acid methionine (4%), which is absent from feed grains. Cuban scientists have determined the correct balance of earthworm proteins in various animal feeds (10-40% in fish meal, 4% in shrimp feed and 6% in chicken feed). They also discovered that chopping up earthworms releases enzymes whichquickly degrade the quality of the feed. Cuba's future plans include productionof earthworm excrement to be used as substrate for bacteria, which in turn willbe used as biofertilizer.Extension and ExpansionFive experimental stations located in different parts of the country have responsibility for training new worm growers in their regions. Information is exchanged among these growers at an annual national conference on vermicomposting. National television programs and newspaper articles are used to help educate farmers, school children and the general public about vermiculture.At the Soil Institute, plans exist for a vermiculture research facility, but construction has not started. The Institute is presently spearheading efforts to market and sell worm humus in 40 kg, 1 kg and 1/2 kg bags under the trade name Midas. A 40 kg bag of Cuban worm humus can sell for as much as $80-100 (US) on the international market, though humus production has not reached levels that permit significant exports. Income generating schemes have focused on joint production ventures and the sale of technical assistance for start-up vermiculture programs outside Cuba. Altogether, it looks as though Cuban

vermicompost like never before, especially in the warmer climates. India and Cuba are leading the way.
Vermicomposting centers are numerous in Cuba. When the Soviet Union fell, it became impossible for them to import commercial fertilizer. Vermicompost has been the largest single replacement for commercial fertilizer by Cuba.In 2004, an estimated 1 million tons of vermicompost were produced on the island.
In India, and estimated 200,000 farmers practice vermicomposting and one network of 10,000 farmers produce 50,000 metric tons of vermicompost every month.

Food Additives That Are Killing You Right Now

In it he gives the whole picture of why we need a revolution in food. It is the only way we will be able to save ourselves. The Truth About Aspartame, MSG and Excitotoxins

Mike: I'm here with Dr. Russell Blaylock, and I'd like to explore some of the more advanced aspects
of some of the things you are working on. Dr. Blaylock, I think readers know the basics of both MSG
and aspartame, but can you review what you've already written about excitotoxins?
Dr. Russell Blaylock: I have three books. The first one is the excitotoxin book, "Excitotoxins: The
Taste That Kills," and the latest one is and updated paperback reprint of "Health and Nutrition Secrets
That Can Save Your Life." The third one is "Natural Strategies for Cancer Patients," which is directed
at nutritional treatments for cancer. It contains some material about aspartame and MSG.
Excitotoxins have been found to dramatically promote cancer growth and metastasis. In fact, one
excitotoxin researcher noticed that, when cancer cells were exposed to glutamate, they became more
mobile, and you see the same effect with MSG. It also causes a cancer cell to become more mobile, and
that enhances metastasis, or spread. These MSG-exposed cancer cells developed all of these pseudopodia
and started moving through tissues, which is one of the earlier observations from cancer.
When you increase the glutamate level, cancer just grows like wildfire, and then when you block
glutamate, it dramatically slows the growth of the cancer.
Researchers have done some experiments in which they looked at using glutamate blockers in
combination with conventional drugs, like chemotherapy, and it worked very well. It significantly
enhanced the effectiveness of these cancer drugs.
Mike: Wasn't there some research that came out recently that supports all this by establishing a
correlation between leukemia and aspartame?
Dr. Blaylock: Yes. This Italian study was very well done. It was a lifetime study, which is very important
with these toxins. They fed animals aspartame throughout their lives and let them die a natural death. They
found a dramatic and statistically significant increase in the related cancers of lymphoma and leukemia,
along with several histological types of lymphomas, which is of interest because H.J. Roberts had written
an article saying that there was a significant increase in the primary lymphoma of the brain.
When you look it up in the neurosurgical literature, there is a rather significant rise in the incidence
of what used to be a rare tumor. We're seeing a lot more of the primary lymphoma of the brain, which
is a little different than lymphomas you see elsewhere. When you look back at the original studies
done by the G.D. Searle company, they found lymphomas as well as primary brain tumors and tumors
of multiple organs. All of this correlation shows that we've got a powerful carcinogenic substance
here. It is either acting as a co-carcinogen or a primary carcinogen. Most likely, it's the formaldehyde
breakdown product.
What the Italian study found is that if you take these same animals and expose them to formaldehyde
in the same doses, they developed the same leukemias and lymphomas. If you look back at the Trocho
Study conducted in Spain a couple of years ago, what they found was when they radiolabeled the
aspartame, they could actually see formaldehyde binding to the DNA, and it produced both single and
double strand DNA breakage.

We know that when formaldehyde binds to DNA, it's very difficult to remove it. It will stay there for
long periods of time. What that means is if you just drink a single diet cola today, or sweeten something
with NutraSweet, you're accumulating damage every day. Eventually, you're going to produce this
necessary pattern of DNA damage to initiate the cancer, and once you develop the cancer, the aspartic
acid component of aspartame will make the cancer grow very rapidly. You've got a double effect; it's
causing the cancer, and it's making the cancer multiply very rapidly.
Mike: Given all this evidence, how has the industry managed to suppress this information and keep
this chemical legal in the food supply?
Dr. Blaylock: Donald Rumsfeld was the one who pushed a lot of this through, when he was in the
chairmanship of the G.D. Searle company, NutraSweet division. He got it approved through the
regulatory process, but once it was approved, the government didn't want to admit that they had made
a mistake. They just continued to cover it up, like the fluoride thing and the milk industry.
You're not going to criticize milk, or these other food-based problems in the media, because they are
smart enough to advertise in newspapers, magazines, health magazines and journals. They have all the
media outlets covered. The only place that they don't have covered is talk radio and the internet. The
health blogs can tell the truth.
No matter how much a newspaper wants to tell the truth, they're not going to do it. This is the kind of
pressure these people are under. Even if you have a good writer who wants to write the story, his editor
is going to override him and prevent it or water it down considerably. You see this in journals like the
Journal of Clinical Nutrition or Journal of the American College of Nutrition. Look at who funds them:
The Monsanto Company, and they used to be sponsored by G.D. Searle. They're not going to want
to put articles in their journal that will infuriate their primary source of income. Even medical and
nutrition journals are controlled by these people.
Mike: It's the unholy alliance between the scientific community and big business.
Dr. Blaylock: Right. Another big scandal concerning the research is something new we found. We
discovered that outside of the brain, there are numerous glutamate receptors in all organs and tissues. The
entire GI tract, from the esophagus to the colon, has numerous glutamate receptors. The entire electrical
conducting system of a heart is replete with all sorts of glutamate receptors. The lungs, the ovaries, all the
reproductive systems and sperm itself, adrenal glands, bones and even the pancreas are all controlled by
glutamate receptors. They act and operate exactly like the glutamate receptors in the brain.
So, when you're consuming MSG, the level of glutamate in the blood can rise as high as 20-fold. You
get very high glutamate levels in the blood after eating a meal containing MSG. You're stimulating
all of the glutamate receptors. That's why some people get explosive diarrhea and dyspepsia, because
it stimulates the receptors in the esophagus and small bowel. Others may develop irritable bowel, or
if they have irritable bowel, it makes it a lot worse. If they have reflux, it makes that a lot worse. The
thing about the cardiac conduction system glutamate receptors is this may explain the rise in sudden
cardiac death.

What you see in almost all these cases is low magnesium. When the magnesium level is low, the glutamate
receptors become hypersensitive, and so people—athletes in particular, if they are not supplementing
with magnesium—are prone to sudden cardiac death, because of the glutamate receptors. If they eat
a meal or something that contains glutamate or drink a diet cola before practice, it will produce such
intense cardiac irritability, they'll die of sudden cardiac death. We know the sudden cardiac death is
due to two things: Most commonly arrhythmia and coronary artery spasm. Both of which can be
produced by glutamate.
Mike: Of course, that death certificate doesn't say they died from MSG.
Dr. Blaylock: No, and it's not going to, because the admitting physician doesn't know the first thing
about any of this research. They've never heard of it. In fact, most cardiologists I've spoken with
have never heard of this. They didn't know there are glutamate receptors throughout the electrical
conduction system and in the heart muscle itself. You have a million patients in this country with
arrhythmias that are life-threatening, and no one's telling them to avoid MSG and aspartame, yet it's
a major source of cardiac irritability.
Mike: It's absolutely astounding. Now, didn't baby food manufacturers voluntarily remove this
ingredient in the '70s?
Dr. Blaylock: They said they would, but they didn't. What they did is take out pure MSG and substitute
it with hydrolyzed protein and caseinate. If you look at a number of toddler foods, many have caseinate
hydrolyzed protein, soy extracts, broth, all a significant source of glutamate.
Mike: We're destroying the nervous systems of these babies.
Dr. Blaylock: Exactly. Now, one of the things we're hearing a lot about is childhood obesity. One early
observation with exitotoxicity is it makes animals grossly obese.
Mike: If they banned MSG, the drug companies would lose billions. Think about how much money
they make treating all of these symptoms.
Dr. Blaylock: Here the government has all these big plans for controlling carbohydrate intake and
controlling cereals and sugar and all that. Those things add to the problem, because what we find in
MSG-exposed animals is that they prefer carbohydrates and sugars over protein-rich foods. That was
one of the characteristics of this type of obesity. It's very difficult to exercise the weight off and almost
impossible to diet it off. The appetite is out of control, but the metabolism is also out of control. They
have metabolic syndrome on top of obesity, and so then you have a state of leptin insensitivity. In terms
of obesity, they have a leptin insensitivity. It has been shown that you can produce leptin insensitivity
very easily with MSG.
Mike: Is there any hope, in your view, that the world may wake up to this, and some day these
ingredients may be banned?

Dr. Blaylock: It's possible, but you know, it's only going to be by public exposure, through the blogs
and sites like yours. Once the public gets wind of it and is convinced that this is real, then there'll be
an uproar over it. There's just a deception. The average consumer looks at it and goes, "Well, it says that
it contains no MSG, so it must be okay."
Mike: I find a lot of the vegetarian foods, or so-called health foods, use yeast extracts.
Dr. Blaylock: The worst of the things they're doing are the soy extracts. Soybeans, naturally, have one
of the highest glutamate levels of any of the plant products. When you hydrolyze it, you release the
glutamate, such as with the soy protein isolates. The glutamate levels are higher than a lot of what you'll
find in other MSG-contaning products, yet the vegetarians are just eating it like it's the healthiest
thing in the world. There was a 25-year study done, which looked at people who consumed the most
soy products, and they followed them for 25 years and did serial CT scans of their brain. They found
out that the people who consumed the most soybean products had the greatest incidence of dementia
and brain atrophy.
These people are destroying their nervous system, and I talked to a lot of them who complained of severe
migraine headaches. I said, "Get off the soy," and they do, and that migraine headache goes away. In
addition, you have very high manganese levels, which is toxic to the very same part of the brain that
produces Parkinson's. You've got a mixture of toxins with soy products, and the people think they are
eating a healthy, nutritious product. It's destroying their nervous system, as well as other organs.
Mike: In this whole debate of soy versus cow's milk, we find misinformation in both camps.
Dr. Blaylock: I wouldn't recommend either one. If you're obsessed with milk, use goat's milk. It's
closer to human milk, but I wouldn't recommend cow's milk or soy milk. I think people ought to avoid
soy products as if they were poison.
Mike: Have you taken a lot of heat from NutraSweet or any of these other companies? I mean, have
you been threatened with lawsuits or anything for going public with this information?
Dr. Blaylock: No, they leave me alone. I know too much. They've never bothered me. When I wrote
the book, George Schwartz warned me, "Are you sure you want to write this book? If you do, they're
just going to hound you to death." I said, "Yes, I want to write the book." So, I wrote it with one thing
in mind: that they would not be able to refute it.
I researched the subject every kind of way you can research it and proved the toxicity of glutamate.
They know I know that, because I had exchanged letters with some of their biggest defenders. They all
realized that they couldn't answer my arguments. So they leave me alone. They're afraid that if it comes
to a big standoff between me and them, they're going to lose.
Mike: They don't want this information going on the public record.

Dr. Blaylock: No, they don't want that. What they're doing is the old ploy of just ignoring and hoping
it will go away. Of course, they put pressure on magazines, journals and newspapers not to interview
me. They are trying to keep me in the shadows where they hope most people don't hear anything I have
to say. It only works for so long.
Since I first wrote the book in 1995, proof supporting my viewpoint has increased enormously. The
new material on peripheral glutamate receptors absolutely killed these people. They have no defense
against that. The new information on the dramatic increase in cancer aggressiveness is something that
they are terrified of.
Mike: Now you find these receptors outside the brain.
Dr. Blaylock: Right. Now, see, I proved it can enter the brain and that all that nonsense about the
brain being protected from glutamate by the blood-brain barrier was a lie. What researchers have
shown is that there are glutamate receptors on both sides of the blood brain barrier and that when
you expose these receptors to glutamate, it opens up the blood brain barrier. So, the glutamate itself
can open the barrier, and I list all the conditions under which the barrier is broken. For instance, as
you get older, your barrier becomes less competent. Almost all Alzheimer's patients have incompetent
barriers. Heat stroke, seizures, autoimmune disorders and multiple sclerosis are all associated with an
incompetent blood brain barrier.
You're talking about tens of millions of people affected by barrier disruption, and they are out there
gobbling up aspartame, MSG and other excitotoxins, and no one is telling them they are making
their neurological conditions infinitely worse. I don't know how many seizure patients I've gotten
off their medicines by just getting them off MSG and giving them magnesium. They quit having
seizures. They were on maximum dosages of medications and still having seizures. Most neurologists
and neurosurgeons that treat seizures are not aware of this.
Mike: It's not profitable to teach people how to avoid these ingredients.
Dr. Blaylock: If you look at the neuroscience literature, you can't pick up an article that's not about
excitotoxicity. The hottest topic in neurosciences is glutamate receptors and excitotoxins.
Mike: Are they talking about it in the food or just as a chemical?
Dr. Blaylock: They won't mention food, but they talk about the glutamate receptor and what happens
when you activate it.
Mike: What about the argument from food companies? I actually got into a debate with a veggie
burger manufacturer, because I wrote an article that said their product had yeast extract in it, and yet
the front label said, "100 percent all-natural ingredients." They said, "Well, glutamate appears naturally
in other foods, like tomatoes and seaweed." What's your answer to that kind of defense?

Dr. Blaylock: Sure, but you see, all of these types of glutamate are bound. They're in oligopeptides,
polypeptides. They are bound in amino acids groupings. They're not free amino acids. If you have it as
a complex protein, you absorb it slowly in your GI tract. In the GI tract, there are almost no free amino
acids if you eat foods such as tomatoes. The level of free amino acids is nil; it's almost all absorbed
as combined amino acids, and then it's only broken down in the liver, where it's released in very low
concentrations that the body can deal with. Our bodies were never intended to have free amino acids
in such high concentrations.
Well, when you hydrolyze these proteins—or you use yeast extract or enzymes to break down these
various proteins into their free, released amino acids—they're not natural any longer. What you've
done is artificially release the amino acids in an unnatural way, and when they enter your GI tract, they
are absorbed as free amino acids, then your blood level of that glutamic acid goes up significantly. As I
said, it can go up as high as 20-fold, in some cases 40-fold. Your blood brain barrier is not constructed
to handle such high levels of glutamate, because it doesn't naturally occur that way. It can handle the
lower levels, but it can't handle these very high levels. So this argument, "Oh, it's natural," is just a lot
of nonsense.
Mike: I do find that many manufacturers claim to be natural health companies, or health food
companies, as a cover. They don't really follow that philosophy, because they'll use these ingredients.
Dr. Blaylock: Sure, and they use all kinds of backhanded ways.
Mike: Here's a practical question that's actually been burning in my head for about eight years: Is
there anything that a person can take to block the absorption of MSG or glutamate as a defensive
supplement?
Dr. Blaylock: Well, not necessarily to block it. You have other amino acids that can't compete for glutamic
acid absorption. So that may be one way to help reduce the rate at which it would be absorbed.
Mike: Which aminos would those be?
Dr. Blaylock: Those would include leucine, isoleucine and lysine. They would compete for the same
carrier system, so that would slow down absorption. There are a lot of things that act as glutamate
receptor blockers. You know, like silymarin, curcumin and ginkgo biloba. These things are known to
directly block glutamate receptors and reduce excitotoxicity. Curcumin is very potent. Most of your
flavonoids reduce excitotoxicity.
Magnesium is particularly important, because magnesium can block the NMDA glutamate type
receptor. That's its natural function, so it significantly reduces toxicity. Vitamin E succinate is powerful
at inhibiting excitotoxicity, as are all of your antioxidants. They found combinations of B vitamins also
block excitotoxicity.

Mike: Let's talk about restaurants. I can't even eat at restaurants anymore at all, even those natural
restaurants. They don't know they have MSG, because it's in one of the sauces or something.
Dr. Blaylock: I talked to them, and they said, "We get our food in these big crates, so there's no
ingredients listed." It's the same thing for hospitals. I talked to a hospital dietitian and she said, "We
can't tell because it comes in a crate, and they won't put the ingredients on it. It just says Salisbury steak
or whatever."
They don't know, so it's hard for them to come out and tell their customers, "It's free of MSG." What
they mean when they do say that is, "We didn't put any in there ourselves." Their white sauces are
particularly high, as are their salad dressings, especially the ones that are creamy, but not the ones that
are pure oil.
Mike: Gravy mixes almost always have it, right?
Dr. Blaylock: Yes, they'll put hydrolyzed protein in it. They're selling taste. I mean, that's why a person
prefers one restaurant to another. The food tastes better. Then they go home and feel sick and don't
understand why.
One of the things that has been noticed about sudden cardiac death is that most that have it, other than
athletes, die after eating a meal in a restaurant. I suspect it's because these people have low magnesium.
They eat the meal, the glutamate stimulates the glutamate receptor in the cardiac conduction system as
well as the hypothalamus, and they have a sudden cardiac death.
I was in a bookstore in Oxford, Miss. This young guy was there, and he just dropped and died. We
took him to the hospital and tried to resuscitate him, and we couldn't. He was only 26 years old, and he
had just eaten a big bowl of soup at one of the restaurants. Well, I talked to the person that was there,
and he said they use a lot of hydrolyzed protein and MSG. People will eat a meal, have a soup before
the meal, get this huge dose of MSG, and drop dead from the arrhythmia.
Mike: Could this explain some sudden infant deaths as well, you think?
Dr. Blaylock: Oh yeah. I mean, look at the popularity of these soy infant formulas. Mothers are crazy
to give their kids soy formula. There is a lot of concern about it. There's concern about the fluoride level,
the manganese level, and the glutamate levels in these soy infant formulas.
Mike: At Wal-Mart, I saw bottled water with added sodium fluoride. It's fluoride water.
Dr. Blaylock: Oh yes, it's for babies. They have a picture of a baby on it.
Mike: So, is there a website or a newsletter that people can visit or sign-up for?

I try to cover a lot of common subjects and bring people up to date on the new thinking and research.
I go through all the medical research. Usually I'll go through everything that conventional medicine
has to offer. A lot of times they have good physiology, a good pathophysiology, but then, they switch
over and start talking about drugs. I'll go through all the good pathophysiology material they have,
and then I'll look up all the nutritional research that's been done that can correct those problems.
Mike: I see. Here's an off-the-wall question: If MSG and all its different versions, as well as aspartame,
were outlawed tomorrow, what changes would we see in the next five years in terms of public health?
Dr. Blaylock: I think you'd see a significant drop in obesity and metabolic syndrome. You'd see a
tremendous drop in certain cancers. You would certainly see a tremendous drop in the neurodegenerative
diseases, and all of these diseases that are increasing expeditiously.
The neurodegenerative diseases are just exploding. Things that used to be rare, we're seeing all the
time now. It's just frightening. And when you look through the neurosciences literature, they have
no explanation. They don't know why it's increasing so rapidly, but it's because we have such a large
combination of toxins. For instance, we know that neurodegenerative diseases are connected to
mercury, aluminum, pesticides and herbicides, and the way they produce brain damage is through an
excitotoxic mechanism.
So, we are all exposed to those toxins, and then when you add MSG and excitotoxins to the food,
you tremendously accelerate this toxicity. That's why we're seeing this explosion in neurodegenerative
diseases; Alzheimer's and autism and ADD and Parkinson's—all these things are increasing so
enormously because we are exposed to products that are excitotoxic..
This is what no one's been able to explain. You look at one person's research and they'll say, "Alzheimer's
is related to mercury exposure," and then another one says, "No, it's related to pesticides," and yet
another one says it something else, but they're all operating through the same mechanism. All of these
things operate by increasing brain immune activity, and that activates excitotoxicity. So that's why all
of them seem to be related, because they're all doing the same thing to the brain.
Mike: What about the American Diabetes Association? Given that aspartame actually promotes
obesity, based a lot of the work you've uncovered, I find it curious that the ADA so strongly
supports aspartame.
Dr. Blaylock: I don't, considering they receive huge amounts of money from the makers of aspartame.
They fund their walk-a-thon and all that kind of stuff, so they get tremendous amounts of money from
the makers of aspartame, and money talks.
Whether they're just deluding themselves and choosing not to believe it's toxic, refusing to look at the
evidence, or they're just concerned about the money and could care less, I don't know, but when you look
at the pathophysiology of diabetes and the effect of aspartame, it's absolute nonsense for anybody who has
diabetes to be on aspartame. Particularly in a neurological aspect, it's going to make it a lot worse.
The Truth About Aspartame, MSG and Excitotoxins
Mike: What about other popular chemical sweeteners like sucralose in Splenda?
Dr. Blaylock: There's really not a lot of research in those areas. They have some basic research, like
with Splenda, showing thymus suppression. If that holds up in other research, it's a major concern. If
you're suppressing the thymus gland in a child, that's affecting the future of their immune function.
You can increase everything from autoimmunity to producing immune-related diseases, to infections
and cancers. The implications of thymus gland suppression are enormous.
There have been reports of miscarriages associated with Splenda in experimental animals. The problem
is, we don't have a lot of well-conducted studies on Splenda to ferret these things out, and they're not
going to do them. The best way to protect your product is to never test it, or just to set up some phony
tests and report it in a journal that's friendly to your point of view.
That's what they did with certain vaccines. They did thousands of phony studies and waved them
around, claiming nothing was found. You can design any study to find whatever you want. Particularly,
you can design it to have negative results. That's the easiest thing to do.
Mike: We've got government health officials telling us mercury is safe and we've got big business
telling us both aspartame and MSG are safe. It sounds like every poison in the food supply or in
organized medicine is perfectly safe.
Dr. Blaylock: We did that with lead. When they first started questioning the safety of lead, the levels
they said were safe were just enormously high, and then a mere 10 years later, suddenly we're finding
out that lead is toxic at 10 micrograms/L. In the '60s, they were fighting over the same thing. The
defenders of gasoline-added lead were saying lead wasn't toxic, except in extremely high doses. Then
neuroscience literature was contradicting them, but nobody would listen. Finally, the weight of the
evidence was so overwhelming that they found extremely low concentrations of lead were toxic and
accumulate in the brain.
It's the same thing with mercury. Mercury is even more poisonous than lead. An infant is getting
150 times the dose of mercury than the EPA safety limits. A hundred times higher than the FDA
safety limits. Here's a little baby that's getting 150 times higher a dose than the EPA says is safe for
an adult.
Mike: What are the big points readers to take away? What do you think they need to remember in
order to protect themselves?
Dr. Blaylock: You need to abstain from all of these things. Aspartame is not a necessary nutrient, and
neither is MSG. The weight of the evidence is overwhelming. If you want to avoid obesity, metabolic
syndrome, neurodegenerative diseases and cancer, and if you don't want to make your cancer more
aggressive, then you need to stay away from these products.
The damage affects pregnant women, unborn babies and newborns. It can produce changes in the
brain that are irreversible, depending on when it is stopped. What we've found is that it reprograms

the wiring of the brain, particularly the hypothalamus, so it doesn't function normally. These children
are abnormal for the rest of their lives in terms of their physiological function.
Mike: Well, hopefully the weight of this evidence will someday become overwhelming, and government
regulators will listen to you.
Dr. Blaylock: The pressure on researchers is so enormous. Dr. Trocho came out with his research
about the DNA damage by aspartame. Then his career was assaulted by the makers of aspartame. He
said he would never do another research project concerning aspartame. Well, a number of researchers
have said the same thing. Once they published their results, the full weight of these companies come
down on their head. NutraSweet will contribute millions to a university and threaten to pull their
donations if someone isn't quieted.
Mike: So there's blatant scientific censorship at work here.
Dr. Blaylock: There's blatant, and then there's just understood. You have NutraSweet manufacturers
donating several million dollars to your university. The director of that laboratory, or the president of
the university, will just quietly let them know that they'd really like to see such negative research come
to a stop.
The biochemical editor of the Chemical Abstracts Service, Dr. John Yiamounuyiannis, went through that
with fluoride. They fired him because he refused to be quiet about fluoride toxicity, and they had just
received this huge grant from Colgate-Palmolive. His supervisor said, "We'll lose our grant if you don't
get quiet about fluoride." He wouldn't, and they fired him. Researchers know this.
Mike: I want to commend you for being willing to stand up and tell the truth about all of this. I think
you're doing a great, positive service to public-health.
Dr. Blaylock: You're the one doing the service, because you're putting the word out there. Without
you, I would just be sitting in a room fussing at the walls. It's people like you that get this word out and
let people know what's going on in the world.
Mike: I wouldn't be surprised if they tried to pass a bill to outlaw health talk on the internet.
Dr. Blaylock: They're trying to do it. You know, they passed a law at one time in several states that
no one but dietitians could speak on the subject of nutrition. Several states had that law passed. This
meant Ph.D. biochemists couldn't talk about health. It was ridiculous. I'm sure that one day they're
going to have an internet bill saying there's just too much dangerous material is coming over the
internet on health issues, and we need to regulate it.
Mike: Well, I want to thank you very much for all your time.

Long conversations on mobile phones can increase risk of cancer, suggests 10-year study

At risk: A decade-long study has found a link between prolonged mobile phone use - more than 30 minutes a day - and the risk of brain cancer

Prolonged use of mobile phones over many years could increase the risk of cancer, scientists have found.

However, a landmark study by the World Health Organisation into the safety of mobiles is expected to stop short of concluding that they definitely cause cancer - because the evidence is not conclusive enough.

And, despite spending £15million investigating handsets over the past decade, the authors will admit there is a need for further research into their health effects before definitive advice can be given.

The WHO's report will not be released until later this week, but two national newspapers reported yesterday that it will quote evidence saying people who use mobile phones for at least 30 minutes a day for 10 years have a greater risk - perhaps as much as a third higher - of developing brain cancer.

The 'Interphone' research has been carried out over the past 10 years in 13 countries, and is the largest of its kind.

Although it is known that radiation emitted by mobiles is absorbed by the head when it is held to the ear, it has not been proved that frequent use damages health - mainly because mobile phones have not been widely used for very long.

Between 2000 and 2004, researchers interviewed almost 13,000 people - both tumour sufferers and those in good health - to see if their mobile phone use differed.

Some of these studies have been published individually and have shown an increased risk of glioma - the most common type of brain tumour - for those who talk on their mobile for 30 minutes a day for 10 years.

Many saw the tumour develop on the same side of the head as they use their phone.

A summary of these results concluded: 'Pooling of data from Nordic countries and part of the UK yielded a significantly increased risk of glioma related to use of mobile phones for a period of 10 years or more on the side of the head where the tumour developed.'

But there are huge question marks over the reliability of the data. For example, its definition of 'mobile phone user' includes people who only made one call a week.

And there are also questions over how much can be gleaned from asking people years later how often they used their phone and what ear they held it to.

Another possible flaw is so-called 'recall bias', in which people who have a brain tumour retrospectively decide their cancer must have been caused by something - such as their handset.

There is also huge scepticism about another of the findings of the study: that short-term mobile phone use actually protects against cancer. Even the authors believe this is highly unlikely.

The report will call for more research, especially among the young.

The Interphone study is eagerly awaited by governments across the world and also by the mobile phone industry, which funded a quarter of the costs of the report.

The Department of Health has not updated its guidance for more than four years. It suggests children should be 'discouraged' from making 'non-essential' calls - while adults should 'keep calls short'.

Other countries go further: urging people to buy hands-free sets, sending texts rather than making calls, or banning the advertising of phones at children.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States still has 71 million doses of H1N1 swine flu vaccine that have not been used, but it is not yet time to throw them out, the federal government said on Monday.

States and other providers should hang on to the vaccine and continue to offer them to people until drug companies can start distributing seasonal vaccine for the coming influenza season in the autumn, said Health and Human Services Department spokesman Bill Hall.

Senator Chuck Grassley, the ranking Republican on the Senate Finance committee, released a letter on Monday that he sent to HHS secretary Kathleen Sebelius asking her how much vaccine was left over and when it would expire.

H1N1 swine flu is still technically causing a pandemic and health officials say anyone who has not been vaccinated should still try, in case it causes a third wave of serious disease.

Health experts consider swine flu likely to join the mix of seasonal flu viruses and it will be included in the seasonal flu vaccine for 2010-2011, which will also contain two other flu strains.

When the H1N1 virus started spreading in April, HHS and its agencies, along with commercial flu vaccine makers, rushed to formulate and make a vaccine.

Influenza vaccines are made using old and unwieldy methods that require incubating the virus in chicken eggs, and the process always takes months.

Vaccine started rolling out in October and the U.S. eventually ordered 229 million doses from its five licensed makers -- Novartis, AstraZeneca unit MedImmune, Sanofi Aventis, GlaxoSmithKline and Australian vaccine maker CSL.

Sebelius said last month that 162 million doses were produced and distributed, but only 90 million actually got into people's arms or noses.

VARYING SHELF LIFE

"Depending on the vaccine manufacturer, the shelf life of the H1N1 vaccines range from 18 weeks to 18 months, with some due to expire on June 30, 2010," Grassley wrote in his letter to Sebelius.

"I understand that it is not uncommon for some seasonal flu vaccines to be discarded each year, but the H1N1 vaccines were paid for with taxpayer dollars," he added, asking: "How many doses of vaccine are due to expire on June 30, 2010?"

Hall said the department would respond to Grassley.

"There are approximately 71 million doses, held by states, the distributor or the manufacturers, that remain unused, and have varying expiration dates, some as long as early 2011," Hall said by e-mail.

"We have asked states to hold on to any vaccine that has not expired, in case we continue to have regional upticks in disease, another wave, or another early start to the flu season. We are holding onto that vaccine (and advising states and vaccinators to hold onto theirs) until there is sufficient seasonal vaccine (which includes coverage for the 2009 H1N1 virus) to replace it."

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that H1N1 has killed at least 12,000 Americans and put more than 265,000 in hospital. People with chronic diseases such as asthma or diabetes, pregnant women and children were at highest risk.

Grassley also asked Sebelius whether HHS would try to increase distribution of seasonal flu vaccines.
