So, Dr. Muhammad advised you to avoid sugar… Here are the common sources of sugar:
· Processed Food
· Honey
· Syrup (of all sorts)
· Candy, Gum
· Soda
· Ice Cream
· Cakes, Pies, Cookies
· Fruit Juice (no more than 4oz. per day)
o Anything considered to be desert or sweets
It is also advised that you consult the Glycemic Index and only eat those foods with a glycemic index of 50 (fifty) or less. You may find the glycemic index on-line or purchase the book
The New Glucose Revolution from any bookstore. This is absolutely necessary if you are diabetic or if you were “switched” when you were tested.
Please do not use artificial sweeteners. They are very toxic to the body and the brain. You may want to try Stevia, which is an herb that has a sweet taste but no sugar.
