The Great American Die-Off

If the following article is true, then we are in the midst of a major die-off of the human population on the planet, starting with the United States. According to the article, a Russian report finds that 2 million Americans may have already died due to a mysterious lung disease caused by a mutant "crossover plant viral disease" linked to genetically modified corn and other foods. Even the possibility of this being true is cause for concern and demands further research into the true nature and consequences of the GMO "foods" promoted by Monsanto and their toy, the FDA. On the surface, on first hearing, this may sound impossible, but can we be sure? How can we find out for certain whether or not this is true? If "GMO" was required to be on labels, that would help. At least we would have a free choice to indulge in the GMO gamble or not. Read and decide for yourself what you think is best for you and your family. If we grew our own, would we have these worries?
When is enough enough?

Enjoy. Learn. Think. Share.

[The]most chilling report circulating in the Kremlin today prepared by the Russian Academy of Medical and Technical Science for Prime Minister Putin states that a “mysterious die-off” in the United States has claimed over 2,000,000 lives since 2008 and is “more than likely” linked to a “crossover” plant disease linked to genetically modified grains and foods.
According to these reports this mysterious, and as yet unidentified, lung disease responsible for this mass die-off began during the spring of 2008 in the US agricultural State of Iowa where (very ironically)
at least 36 people attending a Lung Association event at the Governors mansion were stricken.
Important to note about Iowa is that it is one of the
largest corn producing regions in the World harvesting over 2 billon bushels of this valuable grain farmed on nearly 32 million acres of its farmland, over 99% of which are genetically modified varieties made by the US agricultural giant Monsanto and idententifeid by their trade names of Mon 863, insecticide-producing Mon 810, and Roundup® herbicide-absorbing NK 603.
Not reported to the American people about these genetically modified corn varieties made by Monsanto was the
study released by the International Journal of Biological Sciences warning that they were linked to organ damage. Monsanto quickly responded to this study, stating that the research was “based on faulty analytical methods and reasoning and do not call into question the safety findings for these products.”
Russian scientists in these reports, however, call Monsanto’s claim of their genetically modified Mon 863 corn as being safe for human or animal consumption “totally without validation”, a finding supported by the French biomolecular engineering commission, the Commission du GĂ©nie BiomolĂ©culaire (CGB) who stated in their report, “with the present data it cannot be concluded that GM corn MON 863 is a safe product.
Further supporting the findings of Russian scientists was
Greenpeace International, who in their report titled “MON 863: A chronicle of systematic deception” warned that the campaign to unearth and evaluate data about this most dangerous of genetically modified grains demonstrates, beyond all doubt, that MON863 is unfit for consumption.
Most unfortunately for the American people though, all of these warnings have been ignored by their government masters who have allowed the mass planting of these genetically modified crops to such an extent that in the United States today fully
80% of their corn and 93% of their soybeans are of these dangerous varieties and leading one Russian scientist in these reports to warn that our World is now on the verge of experiencing an ecological disaster of “Biblical proportions”.
And according to these reports this ecological disaster is well underway in the United States and supported by American death statistics showing that of the nearly
2.5 million deaths reported by them each year the number of “sudden deaths” has increased to 40% equaling out to over 2 million “mysterious and unexplained” deaths from early 2008 to March, 2010.
Now of these “mysterious and unexplained” American deaths, these reports continue, nearly all of them are lung related and being erroneously documented as being caused by influenza and pneumonia type diseases so as not to panic these peoples, but have, instead, been caused by as an yet unidentified plant virus that has successfully jumped the species barrier to human beings.
Supporting Russian scientists in these conclusions is new research being conducted by the Didier Raoult of the University of the Mediterranean in Marseilles, France, where for the
first time in human history a plant virus has been found to cause problems in people.
Russian scientists further claim in these reports that the United States mass vaccination of their population this past year for the supposed H1N1 Swine Flu epidemic was instead a “very clumsy attempt” to stop the spreading of this mysterious lung disease by injecting into these peoples a DNA “fix” to this genetically modified corn, and which by all the evidence available, they state, appears to have failed.
For those wondering how the United States government could ever allow such a monstrous outrage to be committed on their citizens one only need know that over the past 10 years Monsanto has paid over $500 million in bribing those American officials responsible for food safety while at the same time has joined US corporate giants
General Electric and Exxon Mobil in not paying any taxes despite the billions in profits they have reaped.
And for those Americans believing that President Obama will protect them from these outrages they couldn’t be more mistaken, and as we can read as reported by the Huffington Post News Service in their article titled “
You’re Appointing Who? Please Obama, Say It’s Not So!” and which, in part, says:
“The person who may be responsible for more food-related illness and death than anyone in history has just been made the US food safety czar. This is no joke.
Here’s the back story.
When FDA scientists were asked to weigh in on what was to become the most radical and potentially dangerous change in our food supply — the introduction of genetically modified (GM) foods — secret documents now reveal that the experts were very concerned. Memo after memo described toxins, new diseases, nutritional deficiencies, and hard-to-detect allergens. They were adamant that the technology carried “serious health hazards,” and required careful, long-term research, including human studies, before any genetically modified organisms (GMOs) could be safely released into the food supply.
But the biotech industry had rigged the game so that neither science nor scientists would stand in their way. They had placed their own man in charge of FDA policy and he wasn’t going to be swayed by feeble arguments related to food safety. No, he was going to do what corporations had done for decades to get past these types of pesky concerns. He was going to lie.”
Even worse for these American people are those believing they will be able to change their government in the upcoming National elections to be held in the United States this coming November, but which new reports are showing that Obama is also preparing for with a special military unit called the “Consequence Management Response Force” said ready to deploy during these elections at his command from his White House fortress the Washington Post writes has now become more like “Soviet-era Moscow” then the house of the people it used to be should these Americans begin to rise up against the growing corporate-run police state surrounding them.
New reports from America are also warning that Obama’s growing police state government is further moving against its own citizens by ordering their Internet giants to turn over all emails written by every citizen in their country, an insidious move Yahoo, for one,
has vowed to fight.
To the final outcome of all of these events it is not in our knowing, other than to note that in the same week that one of Obama’s Federal Courts has
outlawed all Americans from celebrating their National Prayer Day, and Obama has vowed to rid the United States of all of its nuclear weapons, President Putin, on the other hand, stated that Russia’s internal and external security depends upon two things – “its traditional religions and its nuclear forces”…and leaving no doubt whatsoever that our World has, indeed, turned upside down as the US descends into tyranny and Russia moves toward freedom.

Thank you for this information. I believe every word of it.
a few years back Monsanto was involved and tried to hide the fact that it was injecting hormones into cows to make them produce more milk. Two investigators of their own were assigned to do a “goodwill” story on it. However, they found out that the hormones produced cancer and that Monsanto knew about it and did not inform the public.
The investigators would not write the report they were told to by Monsanto and both were fired even after Monsanto made them change their story 80, yes eighty times and then fired them anyway. The reporters then brought the story to the public.
There also was controversey and outcry by Americans about the GMO’s. The result was codex, alimentarius. Nothing produced by the US can even be trusted anymore.
I too, shutter to think about our new food czar.
Americans are waking up and fighting back on all levels.

The American people are being turned into slaves and they don’t realize how close they are to loosing all of their freedoms, because of an illegal election. They are about to wake up to find that they are going to live under a dictator not a president. America as we knew it is dead. We are the laughing stock of the rest of the world now.

Monsanto has a primary goal of controlling the world food supply. And since they cannot control organic agriculture, they chose to usurp it with GMO crops, whose pollen affects every other crop around you. More than likely, monsanto is responsible for the vast die-off of honeybees, due to the pesticides they push on their ‘customers’. All them trace elements in the pollen are carried back to the hive where it accumulates and kills the bees. There are plenty of monsanto goons that need some good ol’ American Country Justice..

I’m not sure I’ve ever heard such a tall tail – OK, Paul Bunyon. Where can I read this supposed report?
Where is there any evidence of any “mysterious die-off”? 2 million people? The fact that some people actually believe this lunacy is troubling at best ….

Eventually genetically modified food will be identified as the number one killer of Americans.
It only took rats a few months to be affected and die miserably from GMO corn. Are we next?… and how effective will staying off GMO products be, even if you try?
How can anyone be sure 100% that what you eat, even organic, hasn’t been contaminated?

Nano-Robot Food Is Here -YUMMY

Could you tell that these peppers are nano-peppers? Or that this ice-cream is nanoized? How about this ketchup that pours all the way out of the bottle without shaking because of the wonders of nano-technology now being added to food products all over the world? Just read the label right? Wrong. Nano food, like GMO foods (Frankenstein foods) can be sold to the public without a mention of the fact on the label. In fact, 'regulators' like the impotent FDA don't have a clue as to whether or not nano-foods are on the market already. I bet the corporations know, since they are the ones doing all this. Why don't they want people to know what their so-called food is made of? Suppose somebody really was into GMO or nano foods - Don't they have a need to know how to tell the difference between the high tech stuff and the natural foods? How is one to be thoroughly modern if one can't make an intelligent choice to eat GMO if one wants to? Put it on the label to help the nano-eaters out!

Nano-Foods Coming to a Store Near You

Second in a Three-Part Series(March 24)

- For centuries, it was the cook and the heat of the fire that cajoled taste, texture, flavor and aroma from the pot. Today, that culinary voodoo is being crafted by white-coated scientists toiling in pristine labs, rearranging atoms into chemical particles never before seen. At last year's Institute of Food Technologists international conference, nanotechnology was the topic that generated the most buzz among the 14,000 food-scientists, chefs and manufacturers crammed into an Anaheim, Calif., hall. Though it's a word that has probably never been printed on any menu, and probably never will, there was so much interest in the potential uses of nanotechnology for food that a separate daylong session focused just on that subject was packed to overflowing. In one corner of the convention center, a chemist, a flavorist and two food-marketing specialists clustered around a large chart of the Periodic Table of Elements (think back to high school science class). The food chemist, from China, ran her hands over the chart, pausing at different chemicals just long enough to say how a nano-ized version of each would improve existing flavors or create new ones.

He said he wasn't involved enough with how the FDA was handling nanomaterials in food to discuss that issue. And the agency wouldn't provide anyone else to talk about it. This despite the fact that hundreds of peer-reviewed studies have shown that nanoparticles pose potential risks to human health -- and, more specifically, that when ingested can cause DNA damage that can prefigure cancer and heart and brain disease.Despite Denials, Nano-Food Is Here Officially, the FDA says there aren't any nano-containing food products currently sold in the U.S.Not true, say some of the agency's own safety experts, pointing to scientific studies published in food science journals, reports from foreign safety agencies and discussions in gatherings like the Institute of Food Technologists conference. In fact, the arrival of nanomaterial onto the food scene is already causing some big-chain safety managers to demand greater scrutiny of what they're being offered, especially with imported food and beverages. At a conference in Seattle last year hosted by leading food safety attorney Bill Marler, presenters raised the issue of how hard it is for large supermarket companies to know precisely what they are purchasing, especially with nanomaterials, because of the volume and variety they deal in.

According to a USDA scientist, some Latin American packers spray U.S.-bound produce with a wax-like nanocoating to extend shelf-life. "We found no indication that the nanocoating ... has ever been tested for health effects," the researcher says.Craig Wilson, assistant vice president for safety for Costco, says his chain does not test for nanomaterial in the food products it is offered by manufacturers. But, he adds, Costco is looking "far more carefully at everything we buy. ... We have to rely on the accuracy of the labels and the integrity of our vendors. Our buyers know that if they find nanomaterial or anything else they might consider unsafe, the vendors either remove it, or we don't buy it."Another government scientist says nanoparticles can be found today in produce sections in some large grocery chains and vegetable wholesalers. This scientist, a researcher with the USDA's Agricultural Research Service, was part of a group that examined Central and South American farms and packers that ship fruits and vegetables into the U.S. and Canada. According to the USDA researcher -- who asked that his name not be used because he's not authorized to speak for the agency -- apples, pears, peppers, cucumbers and other fruit and vegetables are being coated with a thin, wax-like nanocoating to extend shelf-life. The edible nanomaterial skin will also protect the color and flavor of the fruit longer."We found no indication that the nanocoating, which is manufactured in Asia, has ever been tested for health effects," said the researcher.

A science committee of the British House of Lords has found that nanomaterials are already appearing in numerous products, among them salad dressings and sauces. Jaydee Hanson, policy analyst for the Center for Food Safety, says that they're also being added to ice cream to make it "look richer and better textured."Some foreign governments, apparently more worried about the influx of nano-related products to their grocery shelves, are gathering their own research. In January, a science committee of the British House of Lords issued a lengthy study on nanotechnology and food. Scores of scientific groups and consumer activists and even several international food manufactures told the committee investigators that engineered particles were already being sold in salad dressings; sauces; diet beverages; and boxed cake, muffin and pancakes mixes, to which they're added to ensure easy pouring. Other researchers responding to the committee's request for information talked about hundreds more items that could be in stores by year's end. For example, a team in Munich has used nano-nonstick coatings to end the worldwide frustration of having to endlessly shake an upturned mustard or ketchup bottle to get at the last bit clinging to the bottom. Another person told the investigators that Nestlé and Unilever have about completed developing a nano-emulsion-based ice cream that has a lower fat content but retains its texture and flavor. The Ultimate Secret Ingredient Nearly 20 of the world's largest food manufacturers -- among them Nestlé, as well as Hershey, Cargill, Campbell Soup, Sara Lee, and H.J. Heinz -- have their own in-house nano-labs, or have contracted with major universities to do nano-related food product development. But they are not eager to broadcast those efforts.

Getty Images
A team in Munich, the House of Lords investigators also learned, is using nano-nonstick coatings to make it easier to get the last drops of ketchup out of the bottle.Kraft was the first major food company to hoist the banner of nanotechnology. Spokesman Richard Buino, however, now says that while "we have sponsored nanotech research at various universities and research institutions in the past," Kraft has no labs focusing on it today. The
stance is in stark contrast to the one Kraft struck in late 2000, when it loudly and repeatedly proclaimed that it had formed the Nanotek Consortium with engineers, molecular chemists and physicists from 15 universities in the U.S. and abroad. The mission of the team was to show how nanotechnology would completely revolutionize the food manufacturing industry, or so said its then-director, Kraft research chemist Manuel Marquez. But by the end of 2004, the much-touted operation seemed to vanish. All mentions of Nanotek Consortium disappeared from Kraft's news releases and corporate reports."We have not nor are we currently using nanotechnology in our products or packaging," Buino added in another e-mail. Industry Tactics Thwart Risk AwarenessThe British government investigation into nanofood strongly criticized the U.K.'s food industry for "failing to be transparent about its research into the uses of nanotechnologies and nanomaterials." On this side of the Atlantic, corporate secrecy isn't a problem, as some FDA officials tell it. Investigators on Capitol Hill say the FDA's congressional liaisons have repeatedly assured them -- from George W. Bush's administration through President Barack Obama's first year -- that the big U.S. food companies have been upfront and open about their plans and progress in using nanomaterial in food. But FDA and USDA food safety specialists interviewed over the past three months stressed that based on past performance, industry cannot be relied on to voluntarily advance safety efforts. These government scientists, who are actively attempting to evaluate the risk of introducing nanotechnology to food, say that only a handful of corporations are candid about what they're doing and collaborating with the FDA and USDA to help develop regulations that will both protect the public and permit their products to reach market. Most companies, the government scientists add, submit little or no information unless forced. Even then, much of the information crucial to evaluating hazards -- such as the chemicals used and results of company health studies -- is withheld, with corporate lawyers claiming it constitutes confidential business information. Both regulators and some industry consultants say the evasiveness from food manufacturers could blow up in their faces. As precedent, they point to what happened in the mid-'90s with genetically modified food, the last major scientific innovation that was, in many cases, force-fed to consumers. "There was a lack of transparency on what companies were doing. So promoting genetically modified foods was perceived by some of the public as being just profit-driven," says Professor Rickey Yada of the Department of Food Science at the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada."In retrospect, food manufacturers should have highlighted the benefits that the technology could bring as well as discussing the potential concerns."Eating Nanomaterials Could Increase Underlying Risks The House of Lords' study identified "severe shortfalls" in research into the dangers of nanotechnology in food. Its authors called for funding studies that address the behavior of nanomaterials within the digestive system. Similar recommendations are being made in the U.S., where the majority of research on nanomaterial focuses on it entering the body via inhalation and absorption. The food industry is very competitive, with thin profit margins. And safety evaluations are very expensive, notes Bernadene Magnuson, senior scientific and regulatory consultant with risk-assessment firm Cantox Health Sciences International. "You need to be pretty sure you've got something that's likely to benefit you and your product in some way before you're going to start launching into safety evaluations," she explains. Magnuson believes that additional studies must be done on chronic exposure to and ingestion of nanomaterials. One of the few ingestion studies recently completed was a two-year-long examination of nano-titanium dioxide at UCLA, which showed that the compound caused DNA and chromosome damage after lab animals drank large quantities of the particles in their water.

Getty Images
Sono-Tek, a company based in Milton, N.Y., employs nanotechnology in its industrial sprayers. "One new application for us is spraying nanomaterial suspensions onto biodegradable plastic food wrapping materials to preserve the freshness of food products," says its chairman and CEO. It is widely known that nano-titanium dioxide is used as filler in hundreds of medicines and cosmetics and as a blocking agent in sunscreens. But Jaydee Hanson, policy analyst for the Center for Food Safety, worries that the danger is greater "when the nano-titanium dioxide is used in food." Ice cream companies, Hanson says, are using nanomaterials to make their products "look richer and better textured." Bread makers are spraying nanomaterials on their loaves "to make them shinier and help them keep microbe-free longer." While AOL News was unable to identify a company pursuing the latter practice, it did find
Sono-Tek of Milton, N.Y., which uses nanotechnology in its industrial sprayers. "One new application for us is spraying nanomaterial suspensions onto biodegradable plastic food wrapping materials to preserve the freshness of food products," says Christopher Coccio, chairman and CEO. He said the development of this nano-wrap was partially funded by New York State's Energy Research and Development Authority. "This is happening," Hanson says. He calls on the FDA to "immediately seek a ban on any products that contain these nanoparticles, especially those in products that are likely to be ingested by children." "The UCLA study means we need to research the health effects of these products before people get sick, not after," Hanson says. There is nothing to mandate that such safety research take place. The FDA's Blind Spot The FDA includes titanium dioxide among the food additives it classifies under the designation "generally recognized as safe," or GRAS. New additives with that label can bypass extensive and costly health testing that is otherwise required of items bound for grocery shelves. A report issued last month by the Government Accountability Office denounced the enormous loophole that the FDA has permitted through the GRAS classification. And the GAO investigators also echoed the concerns of consumer and food safety activists who argue that giving nanomaterials the GRAS free pass is perilous.Food safety agencies in Canada and the European Union require all ingredients that incorporate engineered nanomaterials to be submitted to regulators before they can be put on the market, the GAO noted. No so with the FDA. "Because GRAS notification is voluntary and companies are not required to identify nanomaterials in their GRAS substances, FDA has no way of knowing the full extent to which engineered nanomaterials have entered the U.S. food supply," the GAO told Congress. Amid that uncertainty, calls for safety analysis are growing. "Testing must always be done," says food regulatory consultant George Burdock, a toxicologist and the head of the Burdock Group. "Because if it's nanosized, its chemical properties will most assuredly be different and so might the biological impact." Will Consumers Swallow What Science Serves Up Next? Interviews with more than a dozen food scientists revealed strikingly similar predictions on how the food industry will employ nanoscale technology. They say firms are creating nanostructures to enhance flavor, shelf life and appearance. They even foresee using encapsulated or engineered nanoscale particles to create foods from scratch. Experts agreed that the first widespread use of nanotechnology to hit the U.S. food market would be nanoscale packing materials and nanosensors for food safety, bacteria detection and traceability. While acknowledging that many more nano-related food products are on the way, Magnuson, the industry risk consultant, says the greatest degree of research right now is directed at food safety and quality. "Using nanotechnology to improve the sensitivity and speed of detection of food-borne pathogens in the food itself or in the supply chain or in the processing equipment could be lifesaving," she says. For example, researchers at Clemson University, according to USDA, have used nanoparticles to identify campylobacter, a sometimes-lethal food-borne pathogen, in poultry intestinal tracts prior to processing. At the University of Massachusetts Amherst, food scientist Julian McClements and his colleagues have developed time-release nanolaminated coatings to add bioactive components to food to enhance delivery of ingredients to help prevent diseases such as cancer, osteoporosis, heart disease and hypertension. But if the medical benefits of such an application are something to cheer, the prospect of eating them in the first place isn't viewed as enthusiastically. Advertising and marketing consultants for food and beverage makers are still apprehensive about a study done two years ago by the German Federal Institute of Risk Assessment, which commissioned pollsters to measure public acceptance of nanomaterials in food. The study showed that only 20 percent of respondents would buy nanotechnology-enhanced food products.Return to The Nanotech Gamble home page. He Who Controls Your Food Controls You!

Ever since humans have been on this planet, we have been engaged in a struggle to get enough good food to eat in order to live, reproduce and build our civilizations. Primitive man knew when he got up in the morning that he had to find food in order to avoid starvation. So food finding was a serious endeavor that was not played with. It formed the basis of how society was organized and governed.
Is it any different today?
Whether you are aware of it or not, you actually have the same struggle on your hands today. Where are you going to find some real food today, and tomorrow and forever? If you fail in this endeavor you and your family will die.
The would-be-rulers of the New World Order know that they can never have the Godlike absolute power they desire of life and death over the masses of humans on this planet unless they can control the access to food and nutritional supplements. So it is not surprising that the Congressional whores in Washington have been paid to limit your and my access to food and food supplements -
for our safety of course!
So wave after wave of attempts are being mounted to accomplish this goal.
You must take action now to defend your right to

real food and nutritional supplements.

He who controls your food, controls you.
Therefore, you better control it yourself.
Enjoy. Learn. Think. Act. Share.

Dietary Supplements, Clean Foods -
Next Victims of Fake "Safety" Bills...
Farmers, Food and Your Freedom Under Attack...
02/04/10 -
UPDATE: while the fake "Food Safety" Bill S510 remains stalled in the Senate, after our November Blitz sent more than 150,000 emails to the Senate over one long weekend, this week Sen John McCain announced that he was offering another "safety" bill, S 3002. This alleged "safety" bill is aimed at the type of food called "Dietary Supplement" in a blatant attempt to undermine your freedom to access high potency vitamins, minerals and other dietary supplements which Americans have enjoyed since a unanimous Congress adopted the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994 (DSHEA). The McCain bill seeks to overthrow major provisions of the current law and force "HARMonization" with international Codex Alimentarius (so-called "World Food Code") restrictions on our food and health freedoms.
See our analysis of the bill at:
http://www.healthfreedomusa.org/?p=4608 and please take the Action below; we've modified it to include the new bill; please send this new message to your Senators, even if you've already used the earlier version of this Action Item. See also: http://www.healthfreedomusa.org/?p=4615 for our Health Freedom Action eAlert eblast on this issue -- and please forward that link to all your contacts.
11/17/09 - UPDATE: the U.S. Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee (HELP Committee) "marked-up" S.510, the Senate version of the (sic) "Food Safety" bill on Tuesday, November 18, 2009. This is the last step before a full Senate vote. The Senate bill can be read at: http://www.thomas.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c111:S.510: -- this bill has an even weaker Family Farm and Ranch, Community and Home Garden exemption than the bill (HR.2749) which passed the House at the end of July. Some minor changes were made, as a result of hundreds of thousands of emails to decsion makers generated from this Action Item and other citizen actions -- so now it's time to continue to Push Back! We have until early in the new year to make our voices heard, since the Senators, after considering the nearly 150,000 messages they received from this Action Item, will not vote on the bill until January. For updates: see our blog entry at:
http://www.healthfreedomusa.org/?p=4014
HELP Chairman Sen. Tom Harkin, mentioning “public concerns” (namely your Push Back!) and the Committee’s desire to protect family farms and organic agriculture, confirmed (about minute 58.5 of the "Mark-up" hearing video archive at the HELP site) that Codex Alimentarius (the so-called World Food Code) does not trump the Dietary Supplement Health and Safety Education Act of 1994 (the law that allows the USA to have the most potent nutrients and most vibrant nutrient market in the world) “DSHEA … governs the law here, not Codex standards…” Chairmen Harkin further stated: the provision in bill that requires FDA to “make recommendations including whether to harmonize whth Codex does not signal any intent to move in a different direction on DSHEA…”
2010 UPDATE: THESE PROMISES ARE NOT ENOUGH! WE CALL UPON ALL SENATORS TO OPPOSE JOHN MCCAIN'S "BACK DOOR" ATTACK ON DSHEA: DO NOT CO-SPONSOR HIS "DIETARY SUPPLEMENT SAFETY ACT OF 2010"!

PLEASE TAKE THE ACTION BELOW TODAY!
[Message goes to the President, your Senators and the HELP Comment Email Address]
NOTE: If you have already taken this Action Item, we encourage you, and every member of your family and circle of contacts to do so again since it has been amended to reflect the passage of HR 2749 on July 30, 2009 after two failed attempts on the previous days, the "mark-up" of the Senate version, S510 in November 2009 and McCain's February 2010 gambit to extend the attack to Dietary Supplements. If passed by the Senate, in any form, the Food Fascism Bill will guarantee the loss of clean, healthy food, high potency dietary supplements and independent farming in the US -- and the complete industrialization of the US food supply. Now the question is what will the Senate do?
We did manage to get some protective exemptions into the House bill for small farmers who sell food directly to consumers or to restaurants, but they are, frankly, weak and will not be enough to protect your food or our farmers. But the Senate bill has much weaker protections, just mentioning minor exemptions for restaurants once and farms twice. McCain's "Dietary Supplement Safety" bill is an obvious attempt to get the stalled (sic) "food safety" show going again.
We need to rally people immediately to submit the below email message to the Senate and to visit with their Senators at home to demand accountable voting on this bill.
The Obama administration is pushing new farm controls which will drive small and independent farmers off the land, literally leaving the field to Agribiz, (implementing all of Codex through complete HARMonization and allowing the FDA to declare Marshal law) through Congress as fast as possible and have coordinated the House bills so there will be no debate and committee meetings are closed. The story will not be the same in the Senate, if we can generate enough public outrage!
Transparency, change, undoing Bush's regulations, giving the public time to comment, grassroots anything? None are visible in the current legislative process. Our entire food system, and thus our health, is being given to the last people with any interest in quality or safety: Big Abgribiz. This is going on in the absence of public scrutiny. Those who do know what is happening, of course, have zero access to the process and to the major media. Meanwhile, the media is absent while Congress is moving at warp speed to sew this up.
There will be no direct, frontal assault on organic farming and dietary supplements, but an insidious process of "infecting" organic farming and nutrient products with regulations, "traceability" requirements, required practices and prohibitions enforced by truly draconian fines and prision terms for even minor offenses running to hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars and 8 years in prison for minor offenses... all under the guise of fake "food safety."
Example: imagine Joel Salatin's wonderful organic farm under the direction of the USDA, with detailed instructions on what he must feed and when, how he must medically "treat" his animals and with what, what he must "spray" and when, ... you get the picture. These bills will industrialize all farms and insure the farmers are forced to buy chemicals and drugs. Organic is dead. As well as human control over the food supply. As well as health.
H.R. 2749 includes a weak exemption for farmer to consumer or restaurant sales because of the Push Back we generated. But the bill has now passed the House and it is imperative that NO version of "food safety" pass the Senate. More Push Back is needed for more protection for dietary supplements, farmers, gardeners, community farming, all local food production (including yours!) and food processing.
We've set up an Action Item for you to send an unmistakable message to your Senators. We must educate the Senate that you value DSHEA, organic farmers and small farming and do not - do not - want independent farmers regulated out of existence. You do not want "Big Agrabiz" regulations applied to organic and small family farms and ranches or to natural/organic food products, including Dietary Supplements.
We have prepared the following Petition to Congress with regard to this matter:
-------------------------PETITION(2010 Changes in Red)
To Amend S.510 or Any Food or Dietary Supplement Safety Modernization Act or Similar Bill
By the Addition of the
Natural and Family Food and Farming Exclusion AmendmentAnd by Defeating Any Attempt to Add John McCain's Fake"Dietary Supplement Safety Act of 2010" Provisions to S510

To: The Members of the Senate of the United States of America:

Whereas the proposed Food Safety Administration within the Department of Health and Human Services should focus its activities on the significant public administration issues involving the capacity of large scale, industrialized agriculture to threaten public safety,

Whereas dietary supplements, organic and natural agriculture, family farms and ranches, and natural or organic food products, including dietary supplements are not a significant part of the food safety problem, and

Whereas Congress previously provided for an exemption for natural food dietary supplements from the increased agency authority granted by the FDA Modernization Act of 2007, through a rule of interpretation, added as section 1011 of that Act, and has on numerous occasions exempted small and family farms from the same level of regulation as has been deemed necessary in the case of industrialized agriculture,

The citizens ascribing to this Petition therefore hereby request that any Food Safety Modernization Act identical or similar to HR 2749 be defeated, or that it, or any substitute for it be amended to exclude organic and natural agriculture, family farms and ranches, and natural or organic food products, including dietary supplements, through a rule of interpretation, as follows:

“Rule of Interpretation

“No provision of this act shall be deemed to apply (a) to any home, home-business, homestead, home or community gardens, small farm, organic or natural agricultural activity, (b) to any family farm or ranch, or (c) to any natural or organic food product, including dietary supplements regulated under the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act of 1994.”

We also note the language of the Fair Labor Standards Act, 29 USC sec 203 (s) (2) which provides, "(2) Any establishment that has as its only regular employees the owner thereof or the parent, spouse, child, or other member of the immediate family of such owner shall not be considered to be an enterprise engaged in commerce or in the production of goods for commerce or a part of such an enterprise..." Language such as this would be helpful to allay our concerns. If the FDA Center for Food Safety is to be moved into a new Food Safety Agency, then Dietary Supplements, regulated as foods under the Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act (DSHEA) should be included in such agency, with the proviso that such substances, as foods, are deemed safe when used as directed.
We oppose any bill which undermines the provisions of DSHEA and call for extending those protective provisions as has been proposed by Rep. Dr. Ron Paul of Texas. No provision of the fake "Dietary Supplement Safety Act of 2010" should be included in S510 or adopted individually; we call upon all Senators to refuse to co-sponsor Sen. McCain's bill which threatens our Health Freedom and our rights under DSHEA.

Furthermore, the ascribing citizens Petition the Congress of the United States to declare it the public policy of the United States that organic and natural agriculture, home and community gardens, family farms and ranches, and natural or organic food products, including dietary supplements shall be at all times free from suit, vexation, trouble, penalty, or loss of their goods, for the inestimable values they confer upon the public.

February 14, 2010
Subject: Dear Senator"The FDA Food Safety Modernization Act" - S.510
Sen. McCain's (sic) "Dietary Supplement Safety Act of 2010"
Natural Solutions Foundation, www.HealthFreedomUSA.org, as part of its efforts to educate Congress regarding the inestimable benefits of health and food freedom, has asked its hundreds of thousands of supporters, with many of your constituents, including me, among them, to alert you to our deep concerns for the protection of organic and small family farms and ranches from new legislation and regulation that is more properly applied to large-scale agricultural businesses. The net result of S.510, and any like it, will be to industrialize the food production of the United States with near total loss of small scale, wholesome and community-based farming. This is a loss that neither our society nor our collective health status can afford.
Our concern focuses on legislation to establish a “Food Safety Administration within the Department of Health and Human Services.” This bill is H.R. 2749 which passed the House of Representatives on July 30, 2009 despite intense opposition from the people of the United States. The Senate will soon consider a similar bill. While we do support DIVESTING THE FDA and USDA of their often mis-used food authority, I adamantly oppose the bill which the House passed and strongly OPPOSE S.510 which has even weaker protections for family farms than the House bill. AS MY ELECTED SENATOR, I URGE YOU TO VOTE AGAINST THESE BILLS and any similar substitutes. WE NEED PROTECTION FOR LOCAL, NATURAL AND ORGANIC FOOD AND FOR DIETARY SUPPLEMENTS TOO.
If the Senate insists upon passing these dangerous and ill-advised bills, it is urgently important that you write into these bills specific language protecting organic and small family farms and ranches as well as family and personal food production. These enterprises and all natural products, including organic and natural food products and Dietary Supplements, must be unambiguously exempted from the controls of these bills.
Such products and such farms and ranches are not part of the food safety problem. They are, in fact, the true food safety system. The problem is with mega-farms and agra business facilities.
H.R. 2749 included a weak exemption for farmer-to-consumer or farmer-to-restaurant sales, that is not enough! S.510 has even weaker exemptions!
We, the health and freedom focused eaters of the United States demand that our natural and organic food products, Dietary Supplements and their producers be protected from the increased regulation of food producers provided in these pending bills and any similar enactments.
Thank you for your urgent attention to this matter. Health Freedom is Our First Freedom and I look to you to protect it for all Americans.
While the Senate HELP Committee "marked-up" the bill on November 18, 2009, some minor changes were made offering some small small improvements, but the specific language recommended here is the minimum we must have to protect important citizen interests.
Addendum: Kindly accept this PETITION requesting that Congress amend the pending bills to include a specified Rule of Interpretation:
PETITION
To Amend S.510 or Any Food or Dietary Supplement Safety, Modernization Act or Similar Bill

The Future of Food -video

Below is the 3 part video series "The Future of Food" presented by a world famous 'food activist scientist', Vandana Shiva, who really knows her stuff and is on the right side of the most important issue to all of us, our food.
For when you think about it -
Isn't the future of food, the future of us?

The GMO Food Video

Genetically modified foods - also called Frankenstein Foods - are everywhere and you need to know about them. Only fools would consume something that God did not create. GMO Foods are made by corporations to boost profits. They are not made for the benefit of consumers - they will try to tell you that you will save money. You tell them "Money may be your god, but I worship the God of Life, and I want to eat what He put on the Earth for me to eat. I'll save money on my car insurance, thank you.!" Here's and eductional video that is rather long, but it does cover the whole field of GMO foods very well. Nobody said it would be easy to survive.

Witch Apple Should You Eat?

What do you and Snow White have in common?
You are both being offered food that is not really food. Witch apple should she eat? Witch apple should you eat? The one she ate put her into a deep sleep.
What about the one you are eating? Is that you snoring?

List of genetically modified foods:
It’s virtually impossible to provide a complete list of genetically modified food (GM food) in the United States because there aren’t any laws for genetically modified crops!
Some estimates say as many as 30,000 different products on grocery store shelves are "modified." That's largely because many processed foods contain soy. Half of North America's soy crop is genetically engineered!
Rapeseed - Resistance to certain pesticides and improved rapeseed cultivars to be free of erucic acid and glucosinolates. Gluconsinolates, which were found in rapeseed meal leftover from pressing, are toxic and had prevented the use of the meal in animal feed. In Canada, where "double-zero" rapeseed was developed, the crop was renamed "canola" (Canadian oil) to differentiate it from non-edible rapeseed.
Honey -
Honey can be produced from GM crops. Some Canadian honey comes from bees collecting nectar from GM canola plants. This has shut down exports of Canadian honey to Europe.
Cotton - Resistant to certain pesticides - considered a food because the oil can be consumed. The introduction of genetically engineered cotton plants has had an unexpectedly effect on Chinese agriculture. The so-called Bt cotton plants that produce a chemical that kills the cotton bollworm have not only reduced the incidence of the pest in cotton fields, but also in neighboring fields of corn, soybeans, and other crops.
Rice - Genetically modified to contain high amounts of Vitamin A. Rice containing human genes is to be grown in the US. Rather than end up on dinner plates, the rice will make human proteins useful for treating infant diarrhoea in the developing world.
Soybean - Genetically modified to be resistant to herbicides - Soy foods including, soy beverages, tofu, soy oil, soy flour, lecithin. Other products may include breads, pastries, snack foods, baked products, fried products, edible oil products and special purpose foods.
Sugar cane - Made resistant to certain pesticides. A large percentage of sweeteners used in processed food actually comes from corn, not sugar cane or beets. Genetically modified sugar cane is regarded so badly by consumers at the present time that it could not be marketed successfully.
Tomatoes - Made for a longer shelf life and to prevent a substance that causes tomatoes to rot and degrade.
Corn - Resistant to certain pesticides - Corn oil, flour, sugar or syrup. May include snack foods, baked goods, fried foods, edible oil products, confectionery, special purpose foods, and soft drinks.
Sweet corn - genetically modified to produces its own insecticide. Officials from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) have said that thousands of tonnes of genetically engineered sweetcorn have made their way into the human food supply chain, even though the produce has been approved only for use in animal feed. Recently Monsanto, a biotechnology food producer, said that about half of the USA's sweetcorn acreage has been planted with genetically modified seed this year.
Canola - Canola oil. May include edible oil products, fried foods, and baked products, snack foods.
Potatoes - (Atlantic, Russett Burbank, Russet Norkatah, and Shepody) - May include snack foods, processed potato products and other processed foods containing potatoes.
Flax - More and more food products contain
flax oil and seed because of their excellent nutritional properties. No genetically modified flax is currently grown. An herbicide-resistant GM flax was introduced in 2001, but was soon taken off the market because European importers refused to buy it.
Papaya - The first virus resistant papayas were commercially grown in Hawaii in 1999. Transgenic papayas now cover about one thousand hectares, or three quarters of the total Hawaiian papaya crop. Monsanto, donated technology to Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, for developing a papaya resistant to the ringspot virus in India.
Squash - (yellow crookneck) - Some zucchini and yellow crookneck squash are also GM but they are not popular with farmers.
Red-hearted chicory - (radicchio) - Chicory (Cichorium intybus var. foliosum) is popular in some regions as a salad green, especially in France and Belgium. Scientists developed a genetically modified line of chicory containing a gene that makes it male sterile, simply facilitating the production of hybrid cultivars. Today there is no genetically modified chicory on the market.
Cotton seed oil - Cottonseed oil and linters. Products may include blended vegetable oils, fried foods, baked foods, snack foods, edible oil products, and smallgoods casings.
Tobacco -The company Vector has a GMO tobacco being sold under the brand of Quest® cigarettes in the U.S. It is engineered to produce low or no nicotine.
Meat - Meat and dairy products usually come from animals that have eaten GM feed.
Peas - Genetically modified (GM) peas created immune responses in mice, suggesting that they may also create serious allergic reactions in people. The peas had been inserted with a gene from kidney beans, which creates a protein that acts as a pesticide.
Vegetable Oil - Most generic vegetable oils and margarines used in restaurants and in processed foods in North America are made from soy, corn, canola, or cottonseed. Unless these oils specifically say "Non-GMO" or "Organic," it is probably genetically modified.
Sugarbeets - May include any processed foods containing sugar.
Dairy Products - About 22 percent of cows in the U.S. are injected with recombinant (genetically modified) bovine growth hormone (rbGH).
Vitamins - Vitamin C (ascorbic acid) is often made from corn, vitamin E is usually made from soy. Vitamins A, B2, B6, and B12 may be derived from GMOs as well as vitamin D and vitamin K may have "carriers" derived from GM corn sources, such as starch, glucose, and maltodextrin.
How can the public make informed decisions about genetically modified (GM) foods when there is so little information about its safety?
According to the FDA and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), there are over 40 plant varieties that have completed all of the federal requirements for commercialization.
Future planned applications of GMOs are diverse and may include drugs in foods, for example, bananas that produce human vaccines against infectious diseases such as Hepatitis B, metabolically engineered fish that mature more quickly, fruit and nut trees that yield years earlier, and plants that produce new plastics with unique properties.
"History has many records of crimes against humanity, which were also justified by dominant commercial interests and governments of the day. Despite protests from citizens, social justice for the common good was eroded in favour of private profits. Today, patenting of life forms and the genetic engineering which it stimulates, is being justified on the grounds that it will benefit society, especially the poor, by providing better and more food and medicine. But in fact, by monopolising the 'raw' biological materials, the development of other options is deliberately blocked. Farmers therefore, become totally dependent on the corporations for seeds." - Professor Wangari Mathai.

Frankenstein Monster Escapes!

Frankenstein was a monster created by a mad scientist who wanted to play God with insufficient skills. While he was successful to a point, later on the monster he created got out of control and turned on him. Genetically Modified Organism is what we would call Frankenstein today - GMO for short.
GMO corn, soy bean, rice, wheat, tomatoes, potatoes and more are all the scientific rage. Part of it is of course a genetically modified organism in seed form can be patented. Can you imagine someone claiming to own a patent on life itself? Well you don't have to imagine that at all. Monsanto is out to own all the food in the world with all patent rights so they can charge whatever they want to farmers who will be unable to grow food the old fashioned way - the natural way.
And thanks to a compliant Congress and FDA, you don't have a way of knowing what you are buying. They do not have to label GMO food as GMO. They don't have to tell you, depriving of the right to choose. How do you read the following article? Is the GMO monster on the loose accidentally or on purpose? If it spreads then the filthy genetic contamination will be everywhere and God's created food plants will all disappear. You know, the one's God planted a long time ago in the Garden of Eden to get the whole thing started.
